This program is no longer running.

The P.A.R.T.Y. Program is a health promotion and prevention project of the Mayor's Task Force on Drugs (MTFD) and many community partners. The program enables young people to use the resources provided to strengthen their leadership skills in order to plan, set appropriate goals, and communicate with their peers. It uses the problem solving model allowing youth to reach their own conclusions.
The workshops involve youth from the onset and provide them with opportunities to present and direct the activities.
By invitation to graduation committees of area high schools, two to four students along with a staff advisers attend two workshops a year (November and March) to share and learn how to plan and conduct a safe and successful graduation party. The planning committee includes youth to ensure close attention is paid to what student participants suggest and to continually build upon and refine the concept of the program.
