The nominated program Building For The Future is a substance abuse prevention project which focuses on developing self-awareness and skills in youth ages 16 to 24. The program is aimed at enabling the youth to avoid becoming involved in the negative self-defeating lifestyle of drug and alcohol impairment. As well, the project assists youth in learning how to assess and evaluate local social service agencies for youth and the objective of improving the quality, accessibility and delivery of services provided in the community.
